Aftercare

Aftercare Instructions for Your New Tattoo:

Congratulations on your new tattoo from Kazumi Tattoo Studio! To ensure the longevity and vibrancy of your artwork, please follow these aftercare instructions:

1. Leave the bandage on: Your artist has put a sterile, breathable bandage on your tattoo. Leave it on for at least 2-4 hours or as directed by your artist. This protects your tattoo from bacteria and helps prevent any unwanted friction or irritation.

2. Gently clean your tattoo: After removing the bandage, wash your hands thoroughly with mild soap and warm water. Gently cleanse your tattooed area with a fragrance-free, gentle liquid soap. Avoid using excessive pressure or scrubbing. Pat the area dry with a clean, soft towel.

3. Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment: Using clean hands, apply a thin layer of the recommended aftercare ointment provided by your artist or a fragrance-free, petroleum-based ointment. Gently massage the ointment into your tattooed skin until fully absorbed. Avoid applying too much ointment as it can clog pores and hinder the healing process.

4. Repeat cleaning and moisturizing: Continue cleaning your tattoo 2-3 times a day with a mild soap and warm water. After each cleaning, apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment. This process should continue for at least 2 weeks or until your tattoo is fully healed.

5. Protect your tattoo: Avoid exposing your fresh tattoo to direct sunlight, excessive sweating, or submerging it in pools, hot tubs, or bodies of water. Wear loose-fitting clothing to prevent any unnecessary friction and allow your tattoo to breathe.

6. Avoid scratching or picking at your tattoo: It is normal for your tattoo to itch as it heals, but scratching or picking at it can cause damage and prolong the healing process. Gently pat or tap the itchy area instead.

7. Stay away from tight or restrictive clothing: Avoid wearing tight or abrasive clothing that may rub against your tattoo, as this can cause irritation or fading.

8.
Maintain proper hygiene: Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching your tattoo to prevent the risk of infection.

9. Avoid exposing your tattoo to chemicals: Stay away from swimming pools, saunas, and hot tubs as the chemicals in these environments can be harsh on healing tattoos.

10. Attend your follow-up appointment: Schedule and attend a follow-up appointment with your artist as advised. They will assess your healing progress and provide any additional aftercare instructions if needed.

Remember, every tattoo is unique, and the healing process may vary. If you experience any severe pain, excessive redness, swelling, or signs of infection, please seek medical attention immediately.

Follow these aftercare instructions diligently and enjoy your beautiful new tattoo from Kazumi Tattoo Studio!
